What CoolCargo Solutions is
CoolCargo Solutions S.L. is a pharmaceutical road carrier based in Fogars de la Selva, near Barcelona. Its core business is the transport of pharmaceutical and healthcare product under Good Distribution Practice (GDP): finished medicines, active substances and raw materials, and cosmetics and personal care. It runs an owned fleet — Mercedes-Benz Actros tractor units paired with ATP-FRC certified refrigerated trailers — with drivers on its own payroll, and covers 20 countries across western, central and eastern Europe on a daily basis.
The business has been in road haulage since 1997 and was incorporated in 2012-06-04. It holds five current accreditations — GDP, ATP-FRC, ISO 9001:2015, TAPA TSR1, Registro Sanitario 40.055673/B — and issues an auditable temperature record at the close of every job.

Refrigerated transport of food and perishable freight
The same fleet, the same quality system and the same traffic desk, applied to non-pharmaceutical perishables: deep-frozen product, meat and fish, dairy, fruit and vegetables and prepared food. The difference between a reefer and pharmaceutical transport is not the cold: it is the evidence. The vehicle is qualified through thermal mapping rather than merely fitted with a cooling unit, temperature is recorded continuously with verified probes, any departure from range is handled as a formal deviation and reported before delivery, and all of it is written into procedures the customer can audit. Drivers on our payroll, not subcontractors
The driver workforce is our own and receives continuous training in handling sensitive freight. That removes the churn of third-party hauliers, which is where account knowledge gets lost and where most temperature incidents originate.
Documented traceability, not a sales promise

What does CoolCargo mainly do?

Temperature-controlled transport of perishable foodstuffs continues, but it is the secondary activity.
Is CoolCargo GDP certified to carry medicines?
Yes. It is audited by AENOR and in force, alongside ATP-FRC, ISO 9001:2015, TAPA TSR1 audited by Bureau Veritas and Spanish Health Registry 40.055673/B. The certificate with its scope and date is provided on request within the supplier qualification dossier, which is exactly what GDP requires a distributor to obtain before subcontracting transport.
What temperatures can CoolCargo hold in transit?
The refrigeration units run between −30 °C and +30 °C. Trailers are ATP-certified to class FRC, the reinforced-insulation class rated to hold −20 °C inside at +30 °C outside. That covers deep frozen (−22/−18 °C), chilled (0/+4 °C) and the pharmaceutical and fresh ranges (+2/+8 °C and +15/+25 °C).
Which countries does CoolCargo cover?
20 European countries: Spain, Portugal, Andorra, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria. The busiest corridors are Iberia to France, to central Europe and to northern Italy.
Do you do groupage?
No. We work exclusively in full truck load (FTL): a rig dedicated to one customer and one trip, with no transhipment and no consolidation platform. It is not a capacity limitation, it is a decision: in pharmaceutical product and in the cold chain, consolidation is where temperature incidents appear and where responsibility gets blurred.
Is the fleet owned or subcontracted?
Owned: more than 82 Mercedes-Benz Actros tractor units with ATP-FRC refrigerated trailers, an average fleet age under 3 years and drivers on our own payroll. Owning both the equipment and the drivers is what makes end-to-end temperature traceability and delivery reliability possible.
