Temperature-controlled transport services

Six service lines running under one quality system, from deep-frozen product to pharmaceuticals, with the same level of traceability across all of them.

How a job runs, end to end

The process is identical across all six service lines. What changes is the set point and the paperwork that goes with it.

  1. Enquiry. We take origin, destination, set point, commodity, volume and the loading and delivery windows.
  2. Quote. Traffic plans the route and the legal driving times and returns a firm price within one working day.
  3. Allocation. A specific unit and driver are assigned. On long runs or tight windows, a two-driver crew is allocated.
  4. Pre-cooling and loading. The trailer arrives at the loading bay already at set point. Probes log from before loading starts.
  5. In transit. Position and temperature are logged for the whole trip, with every door opening time-stamped.
  6. Delivery and close. The CMR consignment note is signed and the temperature record for the trip is issued.

Frequently asked questions

Can two different temperatures travel on the same trip?

Yes, using multi-temperature equipment that splits the box into two compartments with independent set points. Combining frozen and chilled on one unit is routine. Flag it when requesting the quote, because it determines which trailer is allocated and how the load is arranged.

Do you handle groupage or full loads only?

The core service is full truck load, with the unit dedicated to a single customer and no transhipment. Palletised consignments are also moved. For sensitive product, FTL removes the intermediate handling, which is where most cold-chain risk sits.

How far in advance should I book?

For regular lanes within the usual corridors, a few days’ notice is enough. For urgent freight there is a two-driver option, which roughly halves transit time because the vehicle does not stop for daily rest. Call as soon as the date is known.

Need to move temperature-controlled freight?

Tell us origin, destination, set point and volume. A dedicated account manager comes back with a firm quote within one working day. If it is urgent, call.
